The MWM Sprint high speed Diesel engines have been developed objectifying maximum performance and durability, with low fuel and lubricant oil consumption levels. They have been projected as a product of world class focused to the most demanding markets.

The MWM Sprint engines are in conformity with the EURO and EPA legislations (European and North–American) regarding the demands of gases and noise emissions, confirming the solid commitment of the company with the environmental protection legislations.

High speed

Multi–valve system, 3 valves for cylinder; camshaft on the cylinder head;

4 or 6 cylinders, respectively 2,8 and 4,2 liters

Available in the turbo and turbo with aftercooler versions, with mechanical or electronic fuel injection.

Applications in automotives (vans, pick–ups and light commercials) marines and stationary segments.

The fuel injector with 5 holes and the double stages nozzle holder type group allow a great combustion with noise level reduction.

The engine block with ribs and inferior structural “ladder frame” provides necessary rigidity with reduced weight and attenuates vibrations and noises came from the combustion.


Bearings don't have contact with the lateral of the engine block, what contributes to minimize its displacement and the noise propagation.

Engines standard noise emissions in the same category evidences the silent level reached by the MWM Sprint project.

Lubricating oil cooler integrated into the engine block, with a plates system, larger efficiency and compact dimensions.
The absence of hoses increases the system reliability.

Replaceable valves seats and guides offer advantages at the engine repairing and high durability.

The engine gearing on the flywheel side reduces the effect of the twist vibration in the sound emission from the gearing.

The camshaft on the cylinder head moves 3 valves for cylinder, two for intake and one for exhaust. The engine has better air intake and better volumetric utilization. Hydraulic valve mechanism eliminates the valves clearance adjustment and reduces the noise level.

The high technology applied to the turbocharger with “waste gate” valve allows the engine to obtain high torque in low speeds and maintain great performance at all operation zones, providing excellent driveability.

The multi–valves cylinder heads optmised performance now also present in the engines Diesel of last generation. With three valves for cylinder, two for intake and one for exhaust, the air intake control also counts on the variable flow system. A valve controls the tangential filling, optimising the combustion for the largest air mixing at high speeds.

Results obtained with the turbocharged engine, with aftercooler, re-entrant combustion camera and Bosch model VP 14 rotary injection pump with mechanical regulator.

Dry liners: the best conception for fast engines Diesel like MWM Sprint. The engine block is not a wastable part. Along the engine lifetime the liners simple substitution provides economy and speed.

The MWM Sprint engines series, 4 and 6 cylinders, combine unviwed conception characteristics, lightness and excellent performance. Future legislations can be accomplished with electronic fuel injection systems.
